The President of the Provincial Council of Alava, Ramiro González, today met the leading figures of Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competititveness of Deusto University on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its creation. During the meeting they analysed some of the main challenges for the future facing Alava within its strategy of territorial development.
The meeting was part of the round of meetings that the senior members of the Institute are holding with different public and private institutions, in order to strengthen its network of alliances ten years after its creation.
The leading figures of Orkestra presented alongside the council representatives the main projects promoted by the Institute, highlighting the advances made in the economic, social and business evolution of Euskadi, in the context of a strategy of public-private collaboration that has characterised Orkestra’s activity.
The meeting held today was attended by, on behalf of the Provincial Council of Alava, its President, Ramiro González, and on behalf of Orkestra, the President of the Institute, Ignacio Mª Echeberría, the Honorary President, José Luis Larrea, the Director General, Mari Jose Aranguren, and the Deputy General Director, Ibon Gil de San Vicente.
During the meeting, Orkestra presented Ramiro González with the Manifesto “Towards a New Normality”, prepared by Orkestra on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary and which identifies some of the principal challenges facing the Basque Country in the near future, and a publication detailing all the scientific production undertaken by researchers at the Institute over these ten years.
