Based on the book by Pablo Costamagna and Miren LarreaActores facilitadores del desarrollo territorial. Una aproximación desde la construcción sociala  meeting space for facilitators is now available to help researchers, politicians, public administration technicians, people who work in companies or organisations to support development, among other, to discover the role they can (or already) play as facilitators of development processes in their territories.

Those who enter this space will find a map to guide them on an interactive journey that combines time for reading and reflection on a role which, although mostly invisible, is paramount to territorial development: that of facilitators. During the journey, travellers will encounter reflections that have been shared by people who have already made the trip, thus enriching the experience. The journey ends at a square, a meeting point where a community is learning about a role that is not given but which can be learned.

The space was designed by Orkestra and Mondragon Unibertsitatea within the programme Etorkizuna Eraikiz fostered by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. By supporting this project it aimed to fill the gap between the need for its different territorial actors, particularly researchers, to interact and collaborate in order to jointly face the territory’s futures challenges and their capacity to do so, due to different conceptual frameworks, languages and problem-solving approaches, among other.

Currently in Basque and Spanish, it will shortly be available in English and Portuguese. Click below to take a look:
