Conferencia Informe Competitividad 2023

Inclusion, a driver of competitiveness and wellbeing

The 2024 Basque Country Competitiveness Report highlights the importance of inclusion in regional development and wellbeing. In a context of demographic and social change, the report explores how the participation of diverse groups can strengthen the Basque Country's competitiveness and address challenges such as talent shortages and generational renewal.

The analysis takes a multidimensional approach to inclusion, examining how factors such as gender, age and origin affect people's access to wellbeing and their participation in building competitiveness.

Using updated indicators and data, the report provides an accurate assessment of the current state of competitiveness and wellbeing in the Basque Country, offering recommendations on how to make the most of the region's human and social capital.

The report will be presented at the Competitiveness Conference on 20 November at 4 p.m. at the Artium Museum in Vitoria. During the event, we will attempt to answer the following key questions:

  • How does the inclusion of different groups affect the competitiveness and wellbeing of the Basque Country?
  • What challenges and opportunities does the Basque Country's demographic evolution present?
  • How can organisations and companies manage diversity to improve their innovation and productivity?
