Orkestra, supported by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, has since 2007 been immersed in the Ikasgoiraurki project. This project promotes diversification, specialisation and economic development policies through the exchange of knowledge among different agents (politicians, business, training centres and agencies) from the Goierri and Urola Erdia regions through their development agencies.
Along these lines, Orkestra’s role is to design suitable methodologies so as to pursue this objective. As Miren Estensoro, researcher at Orkestra, points out in the video that resumes the concluded project (see here), “Territorial development demands collaboration and we have shown that this does not take place spontaneously. To do so, agencies involved in development have had to play a role as enablers. We have created new methodologies in order to provide assistance in these new working disciplines. We are the ones in charge of invigorating the project, firmly monitoring and enabling relations involving exchange to develop.”
Thanks to the programme, agencies involved in development have so far been able to learn and advance by strengthening relations with different regional agents in the projects being developed by each of them so as to promote territorial competitiveness.
