Researcher
Itziar combines her expertise in data analysis and her knowledge of the business environment to generate evidence that supports strategic decision-making and contributes to the transformation of organisations and territories.
Her work focuses on the analysis of employment and skills, with a particular emphasis on Vocational Education and Training (VET), the green transition, and the study of gender gaps in learning pathways and occupations linked to STEM and green sectors. To this end, she applies quantitative approaches and advanced analytical methods, including the development and use of composite indicators, further strengthened by her participation in the JRC Week on Composite Indicators and Scoreboards.
Career
- She obtained a degree in Computer Engineering at Mondragon Unibertsitatea
- She completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Software Engineering at Athlone Institute of Technology (Ireland)
- She subsequently pursued a PhD in Educational Innovation and Intervention at Mondragon Unibertsitatea, researching students’ digital competences and the impact of emerging technologies on teaching and learning processes.
- She has specialised training in analytics and data, including a Master’s Degree in Business Intelligence and Big Data Analytics (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), and has further strengthened her coordination and management profile by completing a Lifelong Learning Master’s in Project Management (PMP).
- Professionally, she has worked in data analysis aimed at process improvement and the implementation of technological solutions.
