Predoctoral Researcher

Claudia is a Predoctoral Researcher at Orkestra. Her research at the institute focuses on building governance processes that enhance the competitiveness and sustainable development of regions through innovative, collaborative public policies. To this end, she works with public administrations—primarily at the local level—to build capabilities and support their transformation in order to address these governance processes. Her primary research methodology is Action Research for Territorial Development.

Since 2021, she has also participated in research projects, both regionally and internationally, focused on involving citizens in the design and implementation of public policies. Finally, she has participated in international forums organized by the Regional Studies Association (RSA) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA). 


Career

  • She holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Deusto, where she completed an international exchange program at Fergusson College in Pune, India.
  • Before joining Orkestra, she completed a Master’s degree in Governance, Development, and Public Policy at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex (United Kingdom) and worked in the Governance and Political Participation Division of the UN Women Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in Panama.
  • She is currently a doctoral candidate in the “Human Rights: Ethical, Social, and Political Challenges” program at the University of Deusto.
