Researcher
His research focuses on education and training and their role in skills development and in individual and regional competitiveness. Specifically, he focuses on the analysis of Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems and on the establishment and development of talent ecosystems. In this latter area, he identifies the key factors for their governance and their capacity to diagnose, develop, attract, retain and foster loyalty among talent.
His findings have been documented and disseminated in reports and applied research projects addressing key challenges facing people and regions, and aimed at informing public policy. Furthermore, the knowledge he has generated has been reflected in book chapters, scientific articles, lectures, training activities, international conferences and observatories. He has served as a lecturer and speaker at various national and international forums and universities.
Career
- He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Konrad Lorenz University Foundation in Bogotá (Colombia) and a Master’s degree in Consumer Psychology from the same university.
- He has a PhD in Work and Organisational Psychology from the University of Valencia. His doctoral thesis examined the employability of young people as a factor in securing quality jobs.
- He began his professional career in the private sector, developing talent management projects.
- His academic career initially focused, for several years, on employability, the transition from education to work and the quality of employment, particularly for university graduates.
