Cebek (Biscay Business Confederation) has collaborated with Orkestra to hold the 12th Crecer+ platform forum. The event took place yesterday in Bilbao.
Over 60 investors participated in the forum, where five high growth potential entrepreneurial projects were presented.
Marta Martínez, head of CEBEK emprende, Oscar Ugarte, manager of Seed Capital Biscay and Ibon Gil de San Vicente, deputy director of Orkestra also participated in the meeting.
The three speakers shared their ideas on the need to push investment culture as a key factor in boosting and developing new business initiatives.
In this respect, Ibon Gil de San Vicente pointed out that “it is necessary to continue forming and developing funding instruments to complement banks and address the needs of our economic and business fabric.”
He also remarked that “investors’ contribution to the territory's competitive ecosystem is pivotal." Along the same lines, he expressed his appreciation to Seed Capital Biscay, Crowdfunding Biscay, observing that “it is a step forward for firms that are just starting out".
Crecer +, created to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Basque region, closed five operations in 2017 raising a total of nearly a million euros from firms.
The project coordinated by Nagore Ardanza not only contributes funding, but also networks and new prospects to reach clients.
