Predoctoral Researcher
Jaime joined the Institute as a predoctoral researcher at the Energy Lab in 2015. He has worked on the following projects: “Energy and Industrial Transition” and “Technology, Transport and Efficiency”.
His research has focused on aspects like: energy transition, with particular emphasis on the German case (Energiewende); alternative energies in transport and sustainable mobility, or air quality in big cities.
He came to Orkestra after completing a degree in Mining Engineering at the University of Oviedo, with a specialism in Energy. He received the CEPSA award in 2015 for the best end of degree project on hydrocarbon exploration and production. He had previously studied at the Ostrava Technical University (Czech Republic) through the Erasmus Programme. Jaime was then awarded a grant from EDP for an internship in the company itself. He worked in the Department of Environment, Sustainability, Innovation and Quality Control, where he developed a Lean programme in addition to other activities.
