Orkestra is the driving force behind the Chair in Digital Economy, which looks to be the reference point for knowledge in the field of the Digital Economy (as a sector and source of growth for other industries) and an influence on competitiveness in territories and their businesses to boost shared reflection on this sector's strategic role with the other regional agents.
We are currently searching for a person with experience and knowledge of the Digital Economy and its technology tendencies. It would be a plus to have a suitable background and proven practical experience. The possession of the Research Aptitude Exam or a PhD will be positively valued.
Candidates must know how to deal with stakeholders relevant to their research in a multicultural environment, and be aware of the impact of their research and communication and synthesis skills. Fluency in spoken and written English is a must and knowledge of Spanish will be a plus (and/or the willingness to learn it during the first year of the job).
Incorporation will be immediate in San Sebastián/Bilbao, as a member of an international team which has a dynamic and enthusiastic attitude about their role as researchers to improve competitiveness and territorial development. The initial contract will be for a year, which may be extended according to the candidate’s progress and assessment, with the possibility of a permanent contract if there is a call for positions at the time.
Economic conditions will be determined according to the candidate’s experience and contributions in a scale between 28,000 – 36,000 euros gross per year (fixed + variable included).
