The academic institution has been the only Spanish university to receive European funding for recruitment of research personnel. This achievement is a result of the strategic commitment of the University of Deusto to excellence, internationalisation, interdisciplinarity and intersectorality in the field of research. A type of research that is key, according to the Rector of the University of Deusto José María Guibert, for the attraction and recovery of talent.
In this way, the University of Deusto has set as its priority objective the integration of research and the transfer of knowledge. Its aim is that research has a transformative impact and a real implementation in the society. For this, the collaboration with social agents, of both the public and private sectors, is fundamental.
This is also the objective of Orkestra, who under the umbrella of the University of Deusto and thanks to the support of the associated entities, fosters transformative research. This type of research is defined by the analysis, reflection, evaluation and action proposals, in a permanent manner, oriented at providing innovative responses to the resolution to challenges being faced, while acquiring research knowledge.
