Workshop on social innovation and development


Miren Estensoro, researcher at Orkestra who works in the area of local development, took part in the event held on 18th June in Andoainm where she presented her work on “Social Innovation and Local Development: Constructing New Styles of Relationships”.

The event was framed within the “Beteberritzen, Highlighting Social Innovation in Beterri” project, developed by Elhuyar Aholkularitza in conjunction with the Beterri Development Agency, and with support from the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. The event, which was also supported by the Orona Foundation, sought to exchange experiences and reflect on the importance of social innovation on local development.

The following also took part alongside Miren Estensoro: Jon Peli Uriguen, councillor for Innovation, Rural Development and Tourism of the Gipuzkoa Local Council; Aizpea Otaegi, general coordinator for Elhuyar Aholkularitza; Ivan Miró, member of La Citutat Invisible, Barcelona; and Igor Calzada, lecturer at Oxford and Glasgow Universities.
