Happy Christmas

Guaranteeing people's well-being

As a research centre that works on improving competitiveness and our citizen’s quality of life, this is the biggest challenge that we face at Orkestra.

Our researchers’ expert knowledge is undoubtedly the most valuable instrument to fulfil our mission. However, our engagement goes beyond this and that’s why we place our research at the service of transformation which addresses the Basque Country's social and competitiveness challenges.

Orkestra was created to contribute to competitiveness, collaborating, cooperating and leading actions jointly with the agents involved in this process. For over ten years, we have concentrated our work constant dialogue and collaboration.

During this time, our world has undergone many changes from various perspectives: economic, technological, migratory flows, etc. From Orkestra, we have actively supported this change with our expert knowledge, identifying and intending to pave the way in a more inclusive manner, working with everyone involved.

Quality sustainable employment, demographics marked by an ageing population, the environment and financing for SMEs are some unmet challenges that the Institute is constantly working on.

Our main goal for the new year is meeting these needs. Through transformative research, we will work on advancing in those areas that concern and directly affect the inhabitants of the Basque territory. We also hope to spread the Orkestra model. This is a way of working which has been recognised by prestigious universities such as Harvard and carries the banner for terms such as commitment, transformation, dialogue, collaboration and support.
