Abstract

Edited by Patricia Canto-Farachala and Miren Estensoro García, this book is a third volume dedicated to Action Research for Territorial Development (ARTD), an academic community working with this transformative research approach that, as the book shows, has grown in geographic and generational diversity.

The first part of the book presents chapters by researchers who had already published in the previous books and now contribute new concepts and frameworks that help to facilitate ARTD processes. The second part brings together the contributions of a new generation of researchers from Orkestra and Praxis (Argentina) who joined the ARTD community more recently.

A key focus of the book is the analysis of the ARTD community itself, developed in spaces such as Zubigintza, where the collective learning process in which authors and editors worked together took place.

This new volume celebrates the evolution of the ARTD community developing participatory, democratic and transformative research and highlighting its growth driven by the inclusion of new researchers, co-generation and transdisciplinary innovation.
