Research technician
Aitor has over five years of experience in economics. His professional profile combines an academic background focused on applied quantitative methods with experience in strategy and economics consulting.
His work currently focuses primarily on industrial economics, internationalisation, and regional competitiveness. He has also carried out work in the areas of public policy, macroeconomics, and labour economics.
As an expert in quantitative analysis, he has worked with tools such as macroeconomic Input-Output tables and Social Accounting Matrices (SAM), as well as with the Spanish Labour Force Survey and the ESCO database in the field of labour markets, and with various databases on international trade and foreign direct investment.
Career
- He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of the Basque Country (EHU).
- He also has a Master's degree in Economics, Empirical Applications and Public Policies from the University of the Basque Country (EHU).
- He worked as a senior consultant in the strategy and economics practice at PwC, specialising in socioeconomic impact studies, macroeconomic projections, sectoral economics, and labour markets.
- He joined Orkestra in 2025 with the aim of further developing the institute's analytical and quantitative capabilities.
