Constructing regional competitiveness in Europe
Introduction
The objective of this workshop is to analyze how public policy can play an effective role in constructing regional competitiveness in Europe. We seek to stimulate constructive debate around the challenges facing regional competitiveness policy in the context of the complexity that characterizes today’s economy and society. How can regions lead the way in constructing robust competitiveness that best meets the needs of people?

The workshop will start with a discussion on the general state of regional competitiveness policies in Europe in 2011 and how they should develop in the coming years.
