Ageing and
Competitiveness
Introduction
The workshop will deal, from a multidisciplinary and versatile perspective, with the diverse effects that are caused by the ageing process that is taking place now or that will take place in the future in great part of the developed economies, amongst them the European ones. Given that projections estimate a special impact of this demographic change in the Basque Country, special attention is given to the consequences of the ageing process on the Basque economy and its society and to the policies designed to avoid or alleviate them.
