Entrepreneurial environments: Cause or effect of the new complexity?
Introduction
A topic of great interest for academia and policy makers alike is to understand if entrepreneurial environments are a cause or an effect of the new complexity that most countries are experiencing. The objective of this workshop is to identify clues that help us to better understand this complex relationship. In order to do so, the workshop is organized around a number of sessions that will not only look into the Basque Country’s experience but will also enrich the discussion by looking into how Israel, Sweden and Scotland have configured their entrepreneurial environments.

This session will present the current state of the entrepreneurial environment of the Basque Country. Likewise, there will be an exchange of experiences regarding the role of technology transfer in the creation of entrepreneurial environments in countries like Israel and territories like the Basque Country.

In this session there will be an exchange of experiences of the Basque Country and Sweden on the role of company incubation centers in the building of entrepreneurial environments. Likewise, the importance of the attraction of foreign entrepreneurial talent in territories such as Scotland will be analysed, as well as the current situation of the Basque Country will be presented.
