Lehiakortasunari eta Berrikuntzari buruzko Masterrak prestakuntza aurreratua eskaintzen du, erakundeak eta lurraldeak, ikuspegi sistemiko eta estrategikoarekin, berrikuntzaren eta lehiakortasunaren bidetik eramango dituzten profesionalen eta ikertzaileen gero eta eskari handiagoari erantzuteko.

Programak lehenengo fase komuna du eta, ondoren, bi ibilbide, parte hartzaile bakoitzak aukeratzeko:

  • Lanbide profila: Erakundeen eta lurraldeen lehiakortasuna hobetzen lagunduko duten proiektu estrategikoak kudeatzeko gai izango diren profesionalak prestatzera bideratua.
  • Ikerketa profila: Lehiakortasunaren eta berrikuntzaren esparruan ikerlanak eta doktorego tesia egin ahal izateko prestakuntza jasotzera bideratua.

Participant Profile

Participants in the Master’s in Competitiveness and Innovation come from all over the world and typically have an undergraduate degree in business management or a related degree that contains a focus on management subjects. The diversity of origins and backgrounds of participants is a key strength of the Programme, and creates an ideal learning environment for understanding competitiveness and innovation in their territorial and global contexts.

Admission requirements

  • Degree in business management or a related discipline that contains a significant focus on business/management subjects (where applicants have a degree in an unrelated discipline, professional experience with strategic projects in the fields of competitiveness and administration may be considered as relevant, but entry will be conditional on passing an entrance exam).
  • Certification of English language ability to advanced level (C1).

Details of the Bursary

This bursary will finance fifty per cent (€5,500 for the 2019-2020 academic year) of the MUCI tuition fee (€11,000). The grant is compatible with a further bursary of Deusto Business School - Vizcaína Aguirre Foundation, to which applicants are also encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will be expected to pursue the research itinerary of the Masters programme, and to undertake an internship in Orkestra during the second semester while developing their research itinerary modules and their Masters Final Project. In consultation with the Programme Director they will be expected to identify and pursue a theme for their Masters Final Project that is related to one of Orkestra’s competitiveness/innovation projects. Details of current projects and activity can be found here.

How to apply

To apply for this bursary, candidates should follow the following steps:

  • Apply formally to the MUCI programme before 31st May 2019. Details of how to apply can be found here.
  • In the motivation letter submitted with the application form you should explain why you are interested in the research itinerary and make explicit your interest in being considered for the Orkestra bursary.
  • Applications will be evaluated by the Programme Director and Orkestra according to evaluation criteria below, and candidates will be notified by 12th June 2019.

Evaluation criteria

In addition to fulfilling the admission requirements of the masters programme (relevant undergraduate degree, English level, CV, motivation), the following criteria will be taken into account when evaluating candidates for the Orkestra bursary:

  • Motivation to undertake research in themes that are relevant to Orkestra’s work
  • Undergraduate grade transcript
  • Relevant experience (CV)

Deadlines

  • The candidacy has to be presented before 31st May 2019.
  • The resolution of the grant will be published by 12th June 2019.
