Orkestra forms part of an Aquitaine, Basque Country and Navarre trans-frontier consortium. This project intends to develop a trans-frontier collaboration exosystem of firms and entities, based on the region's economic specialisation and knowledge transfer in this trans-frontier space.
This collaboration will help to strenghen the following areas:
• The inter-firm channels in the three regions.
• The channels between different economic players (technology centres, clusters, development agencies, universities, etc.) for knowlegde transfer.
• Improvement in business competitiveness and its innovation capacities.
• Each territory's specialisation strategies.
This project looks to achieve systematic and sustainable trans-frontier collaboration over time with the implication and leadership of business traction agents in the three regions, joint work on RIS3 implementation in the three territories and improvement in the culture of trans-frontier business and institutional cooperation.
Setting up collaboration agreements between firms and trans-frontier knowledge agents to sell new products should yield these results.
65% of the project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg Programme V-A Spain-France-Andorra (POCTEFA 2014-2020). The objective of POCTEFA is to strengthen economic and social integration of the Spain-France-Andorra frontier area. It centres on development of trans-frontier economic, social an environmental activities through joint strategies to boost sustainable territorial development.
