Senior Researcher and Coordinator of the Energy and Environment Lab
Jorge has been a Senior Researcher and Coordinator of the Energy and Environment Lab since March 2018.
With over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, Jorge works at Orkestra on research projects related to energy transition processes, the decarbonization of the economy and industrial sectors, smart distribution networks, energy taxation and green financing, green jobs and skills, sustainable mobility, energy markets, energy efficiency, energy storage, the sustainability of the energy sector and the economy as a whole, new circular and sustainable business models, etc.
Jorge has published book chapters and articles in academic and energy sector journals and has extensive experience as a speaker at conferences and events in the energy sector.
Career
- Before joining Orkestra, Jorge worked for six years as Technical Director at Iberian Gas Hub (a natural gas hub project in the Iberian Peninsula).
- He was Associate Director at Intermoney Energía for 8 years, a consulting firm specializing in energy markets, energy trading, risk management, and energy modeling and forecasting (demand, prices, etc.).
- Previously, he worked as a Consultant at NERA Economic Consulting in Madrid for 6 years, specializing in energy regulation, risk management, market design, and energy tariffs, among other areas.
