Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness and the Spanish Committee of the World Energy Council held the conference on Unconventional Gas: Shale Gas on 5 October in the Conference Room of the University of Deusto (Bilbao campus).

The conference dealt with the prospects and implications of unconventional gas, nationally and internationally.

Recognized industry experts shared their views on the challenges facing the gas industry today, with respect to current market demands, and alternatives offered by unconventional gas. The conference also presented the work carried out by the World Energy Council in this regard.
