Basque Energy Body (EVE): this is the energy agency of the Basque Government. Its purpose is to propose strategic sources of energy for the Basque Country (Euskadi) in accordance with criteria for minimum supply, competitiveness in terms of costs and sustainability, and to take part in their development and help to achieve the objectives defined in these criteria. To this end, it serves the Department of Industry, Innovation, Commerce and Tourism of the Basque Government with regard to energy and geological-mining resources, develops courses of action by involving and invigorating companies and institutions, and disseminates the criteria and values that guide its strategies in society.
